Why Choose the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 2?
The Havak Pro Hunter 2 is Seekins Precision’s answer to hunters who want a match-grade rifle they can actually carry up a mountain. It is built on the Havak action, machined by Seekins in Lewiston, Idaho, and set in a carbon composite stock that keeps weight down without giving up rigidity. A detachable magazine makes loading and unloading quick at the truck or in the field, and the integral Picatinny rail gives your optic a solid, repeatable base.
Seekins designs and manufactures its actions, rails and key components in-house, so the parts that matter most for accuracy are held to the same tight tolerances from rifle to rifle. The result is a factory rifle that feels like a custom build, with a crisp trigger, a smooth bolt and the kind of consistency that gives you confidence on the shot that counts.
6.5 Creedmoor Performance
The 6.5 Creedmoor earned its reputation on the firing line. Hornady designed it in 2007 to shoot long, high-ballistic-coefficient bullets from a short action, and it quickly became one of the most popular match cartridges in the country. That same efficiency makes it a superb hunting round. Recoil is mild enough for long practice sessions, factory ammunition is easy to find, and 140 to 143 grain bullets carry plenty of energy for deer, pronghorn and black bear at sensible distances. If you want one rifle that does a little of everything without beating you up, this is the cartridge most experienced shooters recommend.
Barrel, Finish and Trigger
This rifle uses a 24″ threaded barrel, so you can add a suppressor or muzzle brake where they are legal. Urban Shadow uses cool grays and black for a clean, modern look that still breaks up the rifle’s outline in shade and timber.
Who Is the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 2 6.5 Creedmoor Urban Shadow For?
Think of this rifle as the one you grab most often. The 6.5 Creedmoor handles deer, pronghorn, hogs and predators with ease, it is pleasant to shoot at the range, and it has the precision to stretch out to long distances on steel when you want a challenge.
Setting Up Your Rifle
To get the most out of your Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 2 6.5 Creedmoor Urban Shadow, start with good glass and good mounting. The integral Picatinny rail accepts any quality Picatinny rings, and we stock a full line of Seekins rings and mounts in 30mm, 34mm and 35mm. Keep a spare Seekins AICS Short Action Magazine loaded in your pack so you are never caught short. Add a bipod for prone shooting and a comfortable sling for carrying, and you are ready for the range or the field.
Ordering and FFL Shipping
Because this is a firearm, federal law requires it to ship to a licensed dealer (FFL) near you rather than to your home. At checkout, add the FFL you want to use, or contact us and we will help you find one. Your dealer completes the transfer paperwork and background check before you take possession. You can learn more about the rules on the ATF firearms page and on our FFL transfer guide. Please confirm that this rifle and its magazine capacity are legal where you live before ordering.
