Why Choose the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 3?
The Havak Pro Hunter 3 is the latest evolution of Seekins’ popular hunting line. It keeps the proven Havak action and adds an updated carbon composite stock, so you get a stiff, lightweight platform that is comfortable to carry and easy to shoot well. Fluted, threaded barrels trim weight while giving you the option to add a suppressor or muzzle brake, and a quality trigger delivers a clean, predictable break.
An integral optic rail with built-in elevation helps you reach further without running out of scope adjustment, and the rifle is designed to be carried hard and still hold zero. For hunters who want a dependable, accurate rifle at a fair price, the PH3 is one of the strongest values in the Seekins lineup.
7mm Rem Mag Performance
The 7mm Remington Magnum has been filling freezers since 1962. It shoots flat, hits hard and offers a wide selection of factory loads from 140 to 175 grains, so you can tune your rifle for anything from pronghorn to elk. Recoil is noticeably softer than most .30 caliber magnums, and ammunition can be found in nearly every sporting goods store. It remains one of the most practical choices for hunters who need reach without excessive punishment.
Barrel, Finish and Trigger
This rifle uses a 22″ fluted, threaded barrel, so you can add a suppressor or muzzle brake where they are legal. Fluting removes weight and adds surface area for faster cooling. Mountain Shadow camo blends grays and muted earth tones to break up the rifle’s outline against rock, timber and high country.
Who Is the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 3 7mm Rem Mag Mountain Shadow For?
This rifle is aimed squarely at big game. The 7mm Rem Mag has the energy and reach for elk, moose, mule deer and bears, and it lets you take ethical shots at distances where lighter cartridges start to run out of steam. Pair it with good bullets and plenty of practice and it will handle almost any North American hunt.
Setting Up Your Rifle
To get the most out of your Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 3 7mm Rem Mag Mountain Shadow, start with good glass and good mounting. The integral Picatinny rail accepts any quality Picatinny rings, and we stock a full line of Seekins rings and mounts in 30mm, 34mm and 35mm. Spare magazines are available in our magazine section. Add a bipod for prone shooting and a comfortable sling for carrying, and you are ready for the range or the field.
Ordering and FFL Shipping
Because this is a firearm, federal law requires it to ship to a licensed dealer (FFL) near you rather than to your home. At checkout, add the FFL you want to use, or contact us and we will help you find one. Your dealer completes the transfer paperwork and background check before you take possession. You can learn more about the rules on the ATF firearms page and on our FFL transfer guide. Please confirm that this rifle and its magazine capacity are legal where you live before ordering.
Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 3 7mm Rem Mag Mountain Shadow FAQ
What is the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 3 7mm Rem Mag Mountain Shadow best used for?
If your plans include elk in dark timber, mule deer across a canyon or moose in the north woods, this rifle has the power to do the job cleanly. A magnum-class cartridge like the 7mm Rem Mag carries energy far downrange, which gives you more margin when wind and distance complicate the shot.
What scope rings fit this rifle?
It uses an integral Picatinny rail, so any quality Picatinny rings work. Match the ring diameter to your scope tube (30mm, 34mm or 35mm) and choose the lowest height that clears the objective bell. Browse our Seekins scope rings and mounts for matching options.
Can this rifle ship directly to my home?
No. Firearms ship to a federally licensed dealer (FFL) of your choice, where you complete the transfer.
