Why Choose the Seekins Havak Element?
The Havak Element is Seekins Precision’s premium lightweight hunting rifle, designed for hunters who count every ounce but refuse to give up accuracy. It rides in a stiff carbon composite stock that holds zero through rough handling, rain and temperature swings, and many configurations use a carbon fiber barrel that is lighter than a steel barrel of similar contour and sheds heat well during a string of shots.
Like every Havak rifle, the Element is built around Seekins’ own action and integral optic rail, with a detachable magazine and a quality trigger. It points naturally, carries comfortably on a sling and has the precision to make a clean shot when the opportunity finally comes after a long stalk.
6.5 PRC Performance
Hornady’s 6.5 PRC (Precision Rifle Cartridge) takes everything shooters like about the 6.5 Creedmoor and adds roughly 200 feet per second. It fits a short magnum-length action, burns powder efficiently and pushes heavy 143 to 156 grain bullets with a flat trajectory that forgives small range-estimation errors. Recoil stays manageable, which is why the 6.5 PRC has become a favorite of western hunters chasing mule deer, sheep and elk, and of competitors who want extra wind performance without stepping up to a full-size magnum.
Barrel, Finish and Trigger
This rifle uses a 21″ barrel. Desert Shadow uses tan and light brown tones that disappear in arid country, sagebrush and open plains.
Who Is the Seekins Havak Element 6.5 PRC Desert Shadow For?
Think of this rifle as the one you grab most often. The 6.5 PRC handles deer, pronghorn, hogs and predators with ease, it is pleasant to shoot at the range, and it has the precision to stretch out to long distances on steel when you want a challenge.
Setting Up Your Rifle
To get the most out of your Seekins Havak Element 6.5 PRC Desert Shadow, start with good glass and good mounting. Add a bipod for prone shooting and a comfortable sling for carrying, and you are ready for the range or the field.
Ordering and FFL Shipping
Because this is a firearm, federal law requires it to ship to a licensed dealer (FFL) near you rather than to your home. At checkout, add the FFL you want to use, or contact us and we will help you find one. Your dealer completes the transfer paperwork and background check before you take possession. You can learn more about the rules on the ATF firearms page and on our FFL transfer guide. Please confirm that this rifle and its magazine capacity are legal where you live before ordering.
