Why Choose the Seekins Havak Slam?
The Havak Slam is the lightest, most specialized rifle in the Seekins lineup. Its skeletonized carbon fiber stock strips away everything that is not needed, and fluted, threaded barrels keep the rifle short and nimble for mountain and backcountry hunts. A receiver rail with a built-in bubble level helps you stay plumb on steep, uneven ground where a canted rifle causes missed shots.
This is a rifle for hunters who already know the value of every ounce: sheep and goat hunters, long-distance backpack hunters and anyone who wants top-tier accuracy in the lightest package Seekins builds.
308 Win Performance
Few cartridges have the track record of the 308 Winchester. Since 1952 it has served as a military, law enforcement, match and hunting round, and ammunition is available nearly everywhere at fair prices. It delivers dependable energy for whitetail, hogs and black bear, has enough punch for elk at moderate range, and produces recoil most shooters handle comfortably. For a do-it-all rifle that is easy to feed and simple to master, the 308 is still the benchmark.
Barrel, Finish and Trigger
This rifle uses a 16″ threaded barrel, so you can add a suppressor or muzzle brake where they are legal. Mountain Shadow camo blends grays and muted earth tones to break up the rifle’s outline against rock, timber and high country.
Who Is the Seekins Havak Slam 308 Win Mountain Shadow 0011340031FMS For?
This is an outstanding choice for whitetail and mule deer, pronghorn, hogs and black bear, and it has the accuracy to double as a long-range target rifle. The 308 Win is easy on the shoulder, which means more time practicing and better shot placement when it counts.
Setting Up Your Rifle
Most shooters top the Seekins Havak Slam 308 Win Mountain Shadow 0011340031FMS with a quality riflescope in the 3-15x to 5-25x range, depending on how far they expect to shoot. The integral Picatinny rail gives you a rigid, repeatable mounting point; pair it with a set of Seekins scope rings or a one-piece mount so everything is machined to the same high standard. Spare magazines are available in our magazine section. A solid bipod, a rear bag and a good sling complete the setup.
Ordering and FFL Shipping
Because this is a firearm, federal law requires it to ship to a licensed dealer (FFL) near you rather than to your home. At checkout, add the FFL you want to use, or contact us and we will help you find one. Your dealer completes the transfer paperwork and background check before you take possession. You can learn more about the rules on the ATF firearms page and on our FFL transfer guide. Please confirm that this rifle and its magazine capacity are legal where you live before ordering.
