Why Choose the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 2?
The Havak Pro Hunter 2 is Seekins Precision’s answer to hunters who want a match-grade rifle they can actually carry up a mountain. It is built on the Havak action, machined by Seekins in Lewiston, Idaho, and set in a carbon composite stock that keeps weight down without giving up rigidity. A detachable magazine makes loading and unloading quick at the truck or in the field, and the integral Picatinny rail gives your optic a solid, repeatable base.
Seekins designs and manufactures its actions, rails and key components in-house, so the parts that matter most for accuracy are held to the same tight tolerances from rifle to rifle. The result is a factory rifle that feels like a custom build, with a crisp trigger, a smooth bolt and the kind of consistency that gives you confidence on the shot that counts.
300 PRC Performance
The 300 PRC is built around long, very high-BC .30 caliber bullets that resist wind drift and keep their energy far downrange. Its case design seats those bullets without crowding the powder column, which means consistent velocity and excellent long-range accuracy. It is a serious cartridge for elk, moose and other large game at extended distances and a strong choice for extreme long-range target work. If you want maximum reach from a .30 caliber rifle, this is one of the best options available today.
Barrel, Finish and Trigger
This rifle uses a 26″ stainless, threaded barrel, so you can add a suppressor or muzzle brake where they are legal. The black finish is classic, low-glare and easy to match with scopes, rings and accessories.
Who Is the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 2 300 PRC Black For?
If your plans include elk in dark timber, mule deer across a canyon or moose in the north woods, this rifle has the power to do the job cleanly. A magnum-class cartridge like the 300 PRC carries energy far downrange, which gives you more margin when wind and distance complicate the shot. It is just as comfortable on a long-range steel course, where its flat trajectory makes first-round hits easier.
Setting Up Your Rifle
Most shooters top the Seekins Havak Pro Hunter 2 300 PRC Black with a quality riflescope in the 3-15x to 5-25x range, depending on how far they expect to shoot. The integral Picatinny rail gives you a rigid, repeatable mounting point; pair it with a set of Seekins scope rings or a one-piece mount so everything is machined to the same high standard. Spare magazines are available in our magazine section. A solid bipod, a rear bag and a good sling complete the setup.
Ordering and FFL Shipping
Because this is a firearm, federal law requires it to ship to a licensed dealer (FFL) near you rather than to your home. At checkout, add the FFL you want to use, or contact us and we will help you find one. Your dealer completes the transfer paperwork and background check before you take possession. You can learn more about the rules on the ATF firearms page and on our FFL transfer guide. Please confirm that this rifle and its magazine capacity are legal where you live before ordering.
