Why Choose the Seekins Havak HIT?
The Havak HIT is Seekins Precision’s chassis-based precision rifle, built for shooters who want accuracy and adjustability in a tough, all-weather package. An aluminum chassis provides a rigid, consistent bedding platform, while the adjustable stock lets you set length of pull and cheek height for a natural, repeatable position behind the scope.
A threaded, match-grade barrel, a detachable magazine and Seekins’ integral optic rail make the HIT a favorite with competitors, law enforcement and long-range enthusiasts. It is the kind of rifle you can set up once, zero, and trust on every outing.
308 Win Performance
Few cartridges have the track record of the 308 Winchester. Since 1952 it has served as a military, law enforcement, match and hunting round, and ammunition is available nearly everywhere at fair prices. It delivers dependable energy for whitetail, hogs and black bear, has enough punch for elk at moderate range, and produces recoil most shooters handle comfortably. For a do-it-all rifle that is easy to feed and simple to master, the 308 is still the benchmark.
Barrel, Finish and Trigger
This rifle uses a 24″ threaded barrel, so you can add a suppressor or muzzle brake where they are legal. The Flat Dark Earth finish is a versatile tan that works in nearly any environment and hides scuffs well.
Who Is the Seekins Havak HIT 308 Win Flat Dark Earth For?
This is an outstanding choice for whitetail and mule deer, pronghorn, hogs and black bear, and it has the accuracy to double as a long-range target rifle. The 308 Win is easy on the shoulder, which means more time practicing and better shot placement when it counts.
Setting Up Your Rifle
Most shooters top the Seekins Havak HIT 308 Win Flat Dark Earth with a quality riflescope in the 3-15x to 5-25x range, depending on how far they expect to shoot. The integral Picatinny rail gives you a rigid, repeatable mounting point; pair it with a set of Seekins scope rings or a one-piece mount so everything is machined to the same high standard. Spare magazines are available in our magazine section. A solid bipod, a rear bag and a good sling complete the setup.
Ordering and FFL Shipping
Because this is a firearm, federal law requires it to ship to a licensed dealer (FFL) near you rather than to your home. At checkout, add the FFL you want to use, or contact us and we will help you find one. Your dealer completes the transfer paperwork and background check before you take possession. You can learn more about the rules on the ATF firearms page and on our FFL transfer guide. Please confirm that this rifle and its magazine capacity are legal where you live before ordering.
