What is the Seekins Havak action?
The Havak is Seekins Precision’s own bolt action, machined in Lewiston, Idaho. It features an integral optic rail and is the foundation for the Pro Hunter, Element, HIT and Slam rifles.
Which Seekins rifle is lightest?
The Havak Slam is the lightest, followed by the Havak Element.
Which Seekins rifle is best for competition?
The Havak HIT and HIT Pro chassis rifles are built for PRS, NRL and tactical shooting, especially in 6mm Creedmoor, 6mm GT and 6.5 Creedmoor.
What is the difference between the Pro Hunter 2 and Pro Hunter 3?
Both use the Havak action. The Pro Hunter 3 adds an updated stock, fluted threaded barrels and a TriggerTech trigger, while the Pro Hunter 2 offers more calibers. See our full comparison.
Calibers FAQ
What caliber should I choose for deer?
The 6.5 Creedmoor, 308 Winchester, 6.5 PRC and 25 Creedmoor are all excellent deer cartridges with manageable recoil.
What caliber should I choose for elk?
Consider the 7mm PRC, 300 PRC, 300 Win Mag, 28 Nosler or 6.8 Western for elk and other large game.
What is the best caliber for long-range target shooting?
The 6mm Creedmoor, 6mm GT and 6.5 Creedmoor offer low recoil and excellent ballistics for steel and paper at distance.
Scopes and Mounting FAQ
What scope rings do I need?
Match the ring diameter to your scope tube (30mm, 34mm or 35mm) and choose the lowest height that clears the objective bell. See our scope rings and mounts.
Do I need a 20 MOA base?
If you plan to shoot beyond about 600 yards, a 20 or 30 MOA base gives you extra elevation travel. Many Havak rifles already include a 20 MOA rail.
How tight should scope ring screws be?
Follow your scope maker’s torque value, commonly 15 to 25 inch-pounds for ring caps, and tighten in a cross pattern.
Ordering and Shipping FAQ
Do rifles ship to my home?
No. Rifles ship to a licensed FFL. Accessories ship to your door. Read the FFL transfers guide.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed on business days and ship with tracking. Delivery times depend on your location and carrier.
Can I return an item?
Unused accessories can be returned within 30 days. See our shipping and returns policy.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Checkout is encrypted and payments are handled by our payment provider; we never store full card numbers.
Do you ship to every state?
We ship to most states, but some rifles or magazines are restricted in certain areas. Check your local laws and the ATF rules before ordering.
